Treatment Duration

The treatment duration is individualized. Length of stay may vary depending upon assessments of weekly laboratory testing and immune system response to treatment. An average length of stay for promoting rejuvenation and health is one week. Cancer patients should plan on three to four weeks. Individuals with autoimmune disorders should plan on a three week stay.

After one week you will receive an evaluation and assessment of the treatment plan progress. This assessment will include how your care will continue to best serve your state of health. Patients typically spend five or six hours a day at the clinic Monday through Friday with a reduced day on Saturday.

The first week tends to be the most intense as each individual becomes familiar with our clinic's routine. In addition to immune function testing and infusion therapy, we provide you with educational information that will assist you in your inner growth and healing process during this time. This week will be an adjustment to new modalities and routines both mentally and physically.

The second week may be when the detoxification process begins. Our team will continue to evaluate each individual's progress to determine the best treatment plan during this time.

The third and fourth week give each individual the opportunity to stabilize as recovery continues. You will also integrate different wellness tools that have been offered throughout your stay. These tools are given as resources for your continued wellness. The week prior to your departure is the time when we process what you have learned to best support you in making changes that can be easily implemented at home.

Your Health Care Provider

We will convey our findings to your doctor or treating health care provider to assure your continuity of care. Every effort will be made to convey this information on your behalf. We know from experience that the patient is best supported when all of the patient's caregivers and providers work as a team.

Extended care

This level of care is available for those patients who will stay on in the Tucson community after their more acute treatment has concluded. Extended care provides additional support, supervision of your condition and specialized attention for your health needs. Usually patients who continue their stay in Tucson receive infusion therapy and medical supervision as well as some of the other clinic services.

Family Support

Support is another critical step to recovery from cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, and other serious illnesses. We encourage participants to bring their spouse, partner, family member or friend to the treatment program.
Bringing a family member or friend is often ideal and sometimes necessary. They can be helpful in making choices regarding care. Since illness affects the whole family, their presence also helps to reduce stress. The family member or friend may be able to participate in different aspects of the program when appropriate.

Location

The Immune Recovery and Wellness clinic is located in Tucson, Arizona in the unique and beautiful Sonoran desert. Tucson is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the southwest and for good reason. This unique area holds a special quality the Spanish name "Sonoran," or in English "sonorous," means "of resonance."

Our clinic is situated to take advantage of the views of the mountains and special resonance that surrounds and permeates our distinctive desert location. You will appreciate the gorgeous summer nighttime temperatures and the lovely winter days.

Lodging

The Residence Inn by Marriott is conveniently located near our facility. They will provide moderately priced lodging and transportation. The efficiency apartment style rooms are discounted for our patients. The Residence Inn by Marriott provides breakfast and snacks, as well as van service to and from the clinic, grocery stores, etc.
